Evaluation
Learning in the Springs, LLC offers evaluation services
for homeschooling families in Colorado.
Homeschooling Families,
Colorado Law (C.R.S. 22-33-104.5.) allows you to choose to have your child evaluated by a Colorado Licensed Educator, instead of performing standardized testing at the completion of grades 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11.

If you would prefer to have your child's academic progress evaluated instead of having him/her take a standardized test, please consider utilizing the services offered by Learning in the Springs, LLC!

​Upon completion of the evaluation time, Deborah Randall of Learning in the Springs will provide an evaluation summary for your records and documentation noting an evaluation was performed for your child(ren). You may then copy and submit the evaluation documentation piece to your school district, independent school, etc.

Rates:
1st child $50
2nd child (or more $45 per child)
If outside of Colorado Springs, a $20 trip fee may apply.
​Gather and bring to the evaluation:
-
several samples of math and language arts work that show the student’s progress over the past school year.

something of your choice that your child enjoys reading.

​examples of other learning activities such as history activities, science reports, artwork or anything else you feel would help convey your child's achievements. ​

portfolios or notebooks are welcome, but not required.
Deborah Randall, a Colorado Licensed Educator, will meet with you and your child/ren at your home or at a central location in or around Colorado Springs. She will spend time getting to know you and your child/ren before reviewing the learning work samples and performing the evaluation. ​

Please plan approximately 1 hour for the evaluation per child.
